Our school strives to provide technical and artistic skills required for our students to pursue a professional career in dance, to be involved in the Las Vegas community and to bring dance to all audiences
Sara Ives
Artistic Director
Mrs. Ives hails from Puerto Rico where she graduated as valedictorian from the Juian E Blanco school of ballet. She followed her dreams by moving to Philadelphia, Pa and was accepted The Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet Society. In addition, she obtained an AA in Dance from The University of the Arts. Upon graduating Mrs. Ives joined Orlando Ballet's apprentice program where she performed numerous ballet by the late Fernando Bujones. She has preformed as a soloist with several ballet companies, among them Ohio Dance Theater, Brandywine Ballet and The Florida Ballet. Mrs. Ives has danced several corps of ballet and soloist roles such as the Premier of 21st & Mozart and the contemporary piece Shadows choreography by Laurie Pincinich-Byrd, Nancy Page's Dracula, solo roles in The Nutcracker, Balanchine’s Concerto Barrocco and Scott Jovovich’s Franks Place, George Balanchine’s Who Cares, Valse- Fantaisie, Denise Gula’s productions of Alice in Wonderland as Alice, La petit mort, Fernando Bujones Splendid Gershwin and Jazz Swing.
Mrs. Ives has more than 15 years experience as a ballet teacher, teaching all over the United States and Puerto Rico. She has a Vaganova Ballet certification for grades 1-3. Previously, Mrs. Ives was the artistic director of Henderson Youth Ballet, a pre-professional ballet company. She came to Las Vegas in 2006 to perform in Nicole Durr's Raw Talent Live at the Sahara Theater. She fell in love with the city and decided to make Las Vegas her residence.
